Supervision

We have over 12 years experience of providing both individual and group clinical supervision to a range of professions of varying levels of expertise. Supervision has a definite Behavioural component that is often missing in CBT supervision, which also influences the supervisory style. Many people find this to be of benefit, as it requires both supervisor and supervisee to examine treatment rationales and formulations closely whilst facilitating discussion of a broader range of strategies than might otherwise occur.

Whilst the nature of supervision is ultimately a matter of personal preference and discussion between the supervisee and supervisor, our preference is for the supervisee to forward brief, relevant details about the client, and an outline of the issue for supervision. This approach focuses the supervision session and allows most efficient use of the time. This is of particular relevance for group supervision.

We also offer post-training supervision that augments the principles, practice and techniques taught during training.
